BangkokThe World Bank plans to quintuple critical minerals financing.
Its plan seeks $19 billion for 2026-2030, up from $3.6 billion in 2021-2025.
The Bank named 20 candidate partner countries and launched its first country compacts with development bank partners this week.
World Bank president Ajay Banga said the compacts aim “to build local industries and keep more jobs and value at home.”
Banga says more partnerships follow with countries developing critical minerals industries.
