Letters about a licence-data breach won’t reach everyone.

Florida keeps former residents’ records but may lack their current addresses to warn them.

A criminal used credentials a local law enforcement employee stored improperly to reach department records on 4 September, the agency says.

The department says there is no evidence the data has been misused.

ShinyHunters claimed the breach, which Florida has not confirmed, and the investigation is ongoing.
