The removal came in 2020, the year Sadyr Japarov took power.
Kurmanbek Bakiyev’s sons vanished from the register too, and neither alias they used after fleeing, Saliyev and Bakayev, appears in it.
Only his brother Adilbek Bakiyev remains listed.
Journalists found no stated reason for the removal.
