Burhan offered Russia a Red Sea economic zone, Russian state news agency TASS reported.

The zone would store Russian wheat and fuel for supply to Sudan and other African countries.

Burhan, who chairs Sudan’s Sovereignty Council, told Putin Russian firms could expand its railways and build logistics chains along them.

The TASS report carries no reply from Putin, and Burhan said the projects need investment.
