MoscowNovaya Gazeta, which lost 6 reporters to killings, is shutting.
It is Russia’s last major independent newspaper, and its staff say security services forced the closure.
The paper says authorities evicted it, cut off reader donations and put reporter Oleg Roldugin under house arrest.
Novaya Gazeta Europe, the Latvia-based sister outlet founded in 2022, keeps publishing but is banned inside Russia.
It publishes one final issue, then vacates its Moscow office on 9 November.
