Economists raised Brazil’s 2027 inflation forecast to 4.76% from 4.34%.

They priced in higher borrowing costs after Lula’s 25 October reelection.

They also lifted benchmark rate forecasts: 13.50% for end-2026, up from 13.25%, and 12.50% for end-2027, up from 11.75%.

The central bank’s weekly Focus survey, the first since the vote, will show whether forecasts keep climbing.
