Apple Builds China-Only AI

BeijingChina’s regulator cleared Apple’s home-grown AI model.

The same phone will now hold different answers depending on where it was sold.

Apple built it with Alibaba’s Qwen support, abandoning its usual reliance on licensed models elsewhere.

Apple has not said when the China rollout reaches iPhones and Macs.
