India, a major buyer of Russian crude, raised its concerns with Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the UN.

The State Department says Rubio told Foreign Minister Jaishankar the US can help regional partners meet their energy security needs.

“Russia has been under 30,000+ sanctions, so one more, one less doesn’t make sense,” said Ambassador Denis Alipov.

Trump told the UN he will use the tariff powers if necessary.
