Brazil, COP30’s president, is drafting a voluntary roadmap covering both fossil-fuel demand and production, not a binding negotiated text.
“We’re moving into an implementation phase now,” said Siân Bradley, head of the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance Secretariat.
Brazil unveils the roadmap at COP31 in November, with producers still resisting supply-side language.
