AmurA Tu-95 nuclear-capable bomber crashed, killing six crew.
It shrinks the bomber fleet that forms the air leg of Russia’s nuclear triad.
Designed in 1952, the Tu-95 still flies cruise-missile strikes on Ukraine, and Ukrainian drone raids on bomber bases have thinned the fleet.
The defence ministry says the plane carried no ammunition and was on a routine training flight, not combat.
Russian investigators have not yet said what caused the crash.
