The Royal Australian Air Force released a US hypersonic missile.

Delays have forced the Air Force to scale back testing plans.

The scramjet-powered Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile, built by Raytheon with Northrop Grumman, is part of a joint US-Australian research programme.

The Air Force did not name the range, date or carrier aircraft, or say whether it flew under power.

The Air Force wants to decide on rapid acquisition of the missile in 2027.
