890 megawatts of new nuclear output now has a Google buyer.

Google signed a 20-year agreement to meet rising electricity demand from its data centres.

Constellation plans to spend over $4.3bn upgrading 11 existing reactors in Illinois, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, adding output to the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest grid.

The first added output is due in 2028, and the full 890 megawatts before the end of 2032.
