Tariff cuts covering 95% of Emirati-Eurasian Union trade took effect.

Non-oil trade between the United Arab Emirates and the bloc reached more than $33.3 billion in 2025, up 15%.

The pact began 6 October, eliminating or reducing duties on 85% of tariff lines across Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

The Russian-Emirati business council says the Emirates mainly widen duty-free goods while the union mainly lowers tariffs.

The Eurasian Economic Commission expects the pact to add at least $5-6 billion a year.
