United StatesEpic Games reportedly will let AI write all Disney shooter code.
The $1.5 billion Disney collaboration has slipped indefinitely from March 2027, the report says.
Human developers would manage code and art generated by models such as Anthropic’s Claude, according to internal Epic messages seen by reporters.
Epic chief executive Tim Sweeney said the aim is more and better output, not the same work with fewer people.
Epic has set no new release date, and it laid off over 1,000 staff in March.
