The US may decide by 18 October on secondary sanctions, Russian state agency TASS reported.

The law allows 100% tariffs on countries that buy Russian oil and gas in volume.

Trump signed the Graham act on 18 September, and it also targets Russia’s leaders and state companies.

“He leaves every decision till the end,” Energy Secretary Chris Wright said of Trump on CBS News.

Wright did not say directly whether Trump will impose the tariffs by that date.
