India, Switzerland Sign Pacts

New DelhiIndia and Switzerland signed 5 pacts, 2 on professionals’ mobility.

Indian students and professionals get multiple-entry visas valid up to 5 years.

A youth-exchange deal covers 300 people a year per country, and may rise to 500.

Swiss president Guy Parmelin said an investment protection agreement is still needed, and pressed for results on intellectual property.

India and the European Free Trade Association will set up a group to address trade and investment constraints.
